Please somebody find me
Before I disappear
Please somebody find me
I’m fading fast, I fear

Running through the fields
There’s few by my side
With bare feet and torn blue jeans
From the world I try to hide

I seem to be surrounded
By people every day
But no one hears my silent cries
Or pleading whispers aimed their way

I ask for a little help
A push to get me through
A pinch to know I’m real
A sign of life, a clue

With bare feet and torn blue jeans
I’ve lost count of the days
I’m still running in this field
Being chased by the sun’s rays

Pictures running through my mind
Of what I used to be
My whole life has gone numb
I’m disappearing rapidly

I’m headed no where fast
Everyone has left my side
With bare feet and torn blue jeans
I really don’t want to hide

The hour clock is ticking
I’ve found I’m someone new
I used to play a role in life
And now I hide from view

With bare feet and torn blue jeans
I enter another door
It was one I thought was closed
The one I hadn’t seen before

It opens into darkness
The same as all the rest
Life used to be full of light
And now it’s dim, at best

Please somebody find me
Before I disappear
Please somebody find me
I’m fading fast, I fear
